Post Does your rear clam catch on the brackets?
Opening and closing the rear clam on my Spyder was a 2 person job to avoid it catching on the lowest mounting brackets. I made these little guides on a 3D printer. Material is ABS - weigh 14g each - solves the problem. If anyone is interested I can upload an *.stl file so you can get them printed locally.

That is pretty cool. I've not had any trouble with my rears but I often flick off the spire nuts from the bottom fixings on the front when opening. I might try something similar to avoid having to grovel around on the floor looking for the errant spire nut!

My rears are fitted from behind, so there's a square hole in the inner panel if that makes sense, so it sits pretty flush

I found the originals to be a bit flimsy & replaced them with solid metal blocks with a threaded hole.

I couldn't upload the file (what file extensions will this site allow?) so here is a link to the file on my dropbox account.

Look nice but assuming they're a push button to release is that not tricky only having one pair of hands?

Your are never alone in a Spyder... :D :D :D

You need to do one side at a time with a little care, so its not perfect.

I did the same as yazza's made a square hole and mounted from the back, also cut down the flange on the rear clam, the clam shuts without touching the tub at all, I think this is the cheapest option :)

Can't speak for all 3D printed plastics, but the ABS I used responds well to a brief dip in acetone or paint thinners. This melts the strands to produce a stronger, smoother part. In my case, I sanded the parts smooth, then dipped them.
