Hi all,

I know its a long shot but does anyone have a LHD MGTF (orange band) steering rack they'd part with?

Cheers

mike satur has one he would part with for £100 inc vat not orange band but I can confirm it is 2.7 turn lock to lock because I bought one of these from him about a year ago I think they were ones left over from when Chinese put mgf back into production

+1 on that. I bought mine from Mike Satur last year and installed over the winter. Mine is a genuine TRW part, brand new.

Really good upgrade - my steering feels much better than when I had the Metro one and not much heavier at parking speeds. Just beware that the Metro one has a flat on the input shaft that is missing on the TF one so you need to grind a section of the splines flat or the column adaptor won't fit (and when you find out you'll be lying on your back in the footwell with your arm through a hole in the box section!!!) I posted a pic somewhere on here.

Thanks chaps.

The racks are showing out of stock on the MS website :( No answer when I ring either but I'll keep trying.

Spoke to Mike (Satur) tonight and he's looking to get some racks in soon. Someone else is after a LHD drive rack (poss another Libra owner?) plus me and he mentioned that if anyone else in the club is after one he'd be able to get a better price if he ordered them all together.

If anyone's after one, now's a good time to get in touch with Mike :)

I didn't but funny you should ask I have it on my list to ring him tomorrow.

I'll mention that there's 3 of us after one and see if that helps him with a bigger order etc. I'll ring him in the morning and post an update straight after.

Just spoke to Mike Satur (what a nice fella) and he's got some LHD racks coming in today / tomorrow. Price will be slightly higher than the website shows at £95 + vat which is still a great price.

He's got 10 coming so if you need one I'd give him a quick call before they go :D

He mentioned that someone called Ryan had called this morning which I presume is you Yazza?

Yeah it's a decent price. Ordered one obviously - get in quick Mark

Also ordered a quick shift kit as I tried an MGF with one and it was mint.

Just got to sort out my anti roll bars and big rear brake kit now

Just ordered mine

I'm genuinely excited even though I'm not looking forward to fitting it

That's how much hatrid I have for the metro rack

To have a car as fast as an Exige and looks the way it does, but steers like a London bus..! Terrible.
