Libra boot lid
Does anyone have a spare Libra boot lid? Ideally yellow, but beggars can't be choosers. I have had an 'incident' with the rear end and the body shop feels it will be less time consuming (cheaper) to start with a fresh boot lid. The rear clam is salvageable. I have been in touch with Westfield/GTM who answered the 'phone immediately. Patrick said that front and rear clams are on order at present, delivery next month. No prices as yet. I will be posting photos when the car is back on the road. This is my first post on this forum, so hopefully it works, Peter

Re: Libra boot lid
Hi Peter and welcome. I hope your appeal works but not sure its the kind of thing people keep spares of! Is your body shop a GRP specialist? If not I've heard a lot of good things about Andy Westgate http://www.westgatecomposites.com/ if you are anywhere near the M4/Newbury.

Re: Libra boot lid
Hi, I'm in Cumbria, North of Shap. The body shop is very experienced. In fact the chap is in 'semi-retirement', which means that at last he only needs to do work in which he has an interest. I have used him several times, and it was his work on a TVR Turbo that convinced me to approach him. The problem is that the angle of the boot has opened up, and to rectify means cutting across the grain of the mat across the full width of the boot, and then constructing 'strengthening' on the inside to maintain the rigidity/shape. He is weighing up time, and therefore cost, and suggested a replacement might be more economic. Thanks for your input, Peter

Re: Libra boot lid
Gutted mate I did get prices from Westfield for new front and rear clams and from memory I didn’t run for cover. It was something like £600/700 for the front and similar for the rear. I didn’t get a price for the boot lid though, forgot about it in fairness. Would be interested in prices when you get them, I was more concerned on the colour to match the middle of the car when it was made. They did say turn around was a couple of months
