Post Wheel studs
Just had a disastrous morning. In the process of removing the front wheels I managed to snap a wheel stud clean through. Clearly I don't know my own strength.
I am running standard rover alloys with no spacers and wonder if anyone knows the right length. There seems to be a number from 45 to 63 mm and knowing my luck I would get them too short. I presume rover hubs etc of some sort as the car was factory built. Also if anyone knows where to get them and some new nuts ( ? Rimmers) I would be grateful for a pointer.
I also had a look and they seem to be a simple knock them out through the hub fixing so should not be too much of a problem but I might be wrong.

I think the standard studs are 45mm (m12 x 1.5). I bought some longer ones which are 63mm to fit to my rears (still to do!) as i'm using spacers.

They are M12 x 1.5 x 45mm long. Have one here in front of me that I took off my Rover 100 hub. To check that's the length you have, your studs should stick out about 35mm from the flange face.

Not sure, but the Libra uses front hubs (Rover100/MGF) all round.

You'll be better off using a hydraulic puller to ease them out

I use this type of nut with my GTM alloys http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M12-x-1-5-19m ... 2a47da3b78

Post Re: Wheel studs
Thanks everyone. They were 45mm long and I replaced two. One had broken and another had a bit of a damaged thread so whilst in the groove did them both.. Thanks for the advice re the wheel nuts they look a better bet than the ones I use with the captive washers.
