Post Libra splitter mould
Does anyone know if the splitter mould goes on top of or under the radiator ducting?

Mine is cut out to go round the ducting (from a sheet of ply)

Good to see another KV6

I know it seems a silly question but I mean the bonnet clam shell splitter mould, the front shell doesn't want to open with the mould under the duct or on top - do these have to be heavly cut to fit?

A front splitter is on my "to do list" for my Spyder as it seems to go a bit light at the front at higher speeds. When you've sorted yours out could you post some pics so I can see how you fitted it. Also, where did you get your splitter? Was it a GTM one or something after market? I'd seen some corner splitters on ebay a while ago but they don't seem to have been on there recently.

You mean the Libra's own oval 'splitter' that feeds air to the radiator rather than any aftermarket part I believe.

I seem to recall having the same head scratch moment when I did this bit - it's not actually catching where you think it is.

You need to trim back the front lip of the radiator duct to allow the lower inner lip of the splitter to pass it as it goes down past when you open the bonnet. With the bonnet shut and the splitter held in place there should be a gap of few mms between the inner bottom back edge of the splitter and the front lip of the rad duct.

FYI The bottom flat bit of the splitter goes under the rad duct and should not need trimming IIRC.

Thanks for that :).
I had to trim the lower half of the oval duct as well as the radiator duct as I think maybe my clam is fitted a touch higher than yours, I am going to strengthen the mould up with Aluminium and bridging compound as it is quite flimsy.
I am also making an airoplane wing style canard to fit in the duct against the rad thus to aid downforce and to make sure the rad is force fed with air and also to stiffen up the lower portion of the radiator duct as I think this may be leading to the light front end feeling that people experience due to it flapping up and down when at speed.

Thanks again for the diagram!
