Hi Jamie - looks great! You managed to resist the red quilted leather!

Have you got the water/oil cooler hooked up on yours? The piping doesn't really suit the location on the libra setup. I'm thinking of using a small (motorbike) supplementary rad with a 12v pump to cool the oil cooler (sump mounted) but am interested on what you've done - I think the V6 is quite dependant on oil cooling. Also think anything which can take load off the main cooling circuit has to be a help as the rad isn't huge.

Hi Stew,
Sorry for the late reply been on holiday, there is no need to remove the standard laminar cooler, all you need to do is swap the 90 degrees end with the straight end - no problem. I have seen people fit a 180 hose from the straight end which closes up so much because it touches the monoque that I doubt that any flow passes through it at all.
It is very important that the cooler is fitted to the KV6 to eradicate the problem of thermal shock to the block and heads, Evans waterless coolant is the business by the way, you can remove the header tank cap when the engine is up to temperature with out it boiling - the system does'nt pressurise because Evans doesn't boil in the water galleries around the combustion chamber like water does - go for it.
Enjoying the car by the way, it's good having a car you can race motorbikes with is'nt it :D

Do you have any pics of your install?? I have to admit I haven't studied mine in detail, I noticed that it's not plumbed in & that was about it!

The waterless coolant does seem to be a good idea, I know that a friend who tried to use it in one application struggled as the viscosity is a bit higher than a regular coolant mix.

The v6 does go well, better than the figures would suggest actually. Another 80 brake would be welcome though I must admit! See how the 3L duratec v6 conversion goes & I may follow suit....
