Post Time to let go..?
I haven't put this in the for sale section as I haven't decided whether I can actually let her go yet! But I am contemplating selling my Libra, I put so much time and effort and money into her that I always thought I'd keep it forever as you I would never get that back in cash!
But times have changed and 3 kids later she just isn't getting used that much and I hate for it to be stuck in a garage all its life.

So anyway before I advertise properly just though i'd test the water and see if anyone on here might be interested? Some initial details below to get the ball rolling but can provide more info and pictures...

Hi Mike

I don't suppose we can have more pictures? You could email them to me if that's easier. I could be very interested in the New Year if you still have it.

Roger, Yes I'll post a few more pics, I have loads of build photos (which you probably saw over on TGTM!) but I guess I should take a few up to date ones this weekend maybe.
(I need to find somewhere to host them though, I was going to use photobucket but the amount of pop ups and virus warnings etc I was getting when I went in there with my phone was unreal, really put me off! Maybe get a Box account instead)

Yazza, I haven't the first clue what to ask for it! If I ask what I think it's worth it'll never sell!! I guess I'm hoping someone who knows what they are looking at would make a sensible offer!

Jaykart, If things in Oil & Gas industry don't pick up soon the house might be next! :? But to be fair you're only seeing the view, my house a shed! (Well technically 30 years ago it was a cows shed...)

I'm afraid not Roger, the Maxitank was one of the few "upgrades" I didn't do.
I had already bought a new "pattern" petrol tank and couldn't justify the cost at the time.
I did put in a new uprated metal fuel pump though...

You have reminded me though the only thing that is currently not working on the car is the G-sensor, I mean fuel gauge... It was working and I think it must just be a loose connection somewhere but I haven't bothered to find it. I just know how many miles I need to refuel by!

Looking good Mike

Unfortunately I won't be in a position to make you an offer until the New Year as we are moving house this week.

Do you have any idea what you want for it?

What have you put in place of the 2 centre air vents in the dash?

Ah yes, i was quite pleased with those! They are still directional air vents, but i just didnt want the standard ones, reminded me too much on the ones from a school bus from the 80's...

So i emailed richbrook and asked if they would sell me a couple of the alloy centre rings to match the richbrook steering wheel one, then i modified a couple of horn push buttons by mounting them on an axis (part of a stainless bike spoke) so they spin to direct air to passenger or driver and sit flush to close off flow. The axis rotates within the alloy center ring too so you can aim up and down too.

The amount of time these details take...! Haha!

If you are selling it don't give it away, people in the past have and its sets the bar to what a Libra is worth. If you look at the price of a second Elise its a lot more than people ask for a Libra and IMO the Libra is more practical and cheaper to run.

I agree, I've seen some go for what I would consider a steal and all the while S1 Elises are going through the roof. There's not many about so people have to pay the going rate. A lot does depends on spec and how well looked after it's been though. Unfortunately with the shockingly bad paint finish on all the wishbones, cradles etc most libras are a lot tattier than they look.
