headlamp cover moulds
On e-bay is this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/gtm-libra-he ... SwDXxcq5-AI think a valuable asset for Libra owners. Is it something the Club would buy? If not then I am happy to try to buy for the use of Libra owners but not trying to outbid them all. I want to pay a fair price, the current owner paid for them to be made but really do not want a bidding war between owners. If I do manage to buy, then I will find who can produce the covers and charge -- say cost plus carrier and £15 per set?? Revert to cost or donate to the club when purchase price is covered. Give me feedback please Pete

The club doesn’t have the resources or storage facilities (other than my loft or Steve’s shed, which both are full). I thought about buying them for myself and offering to lend out, but as the moulds are for the Spyder bonnet (already spotted) and not the original Libra bonnet I decided against, but if they were donated to the club, I would find room for them. Re: headlamp cover moulds
Well spotted. Are Spyder lights just longer but the same shape? If so then these moulds would work for both models Is there someone who has access to both types to check. Would simply be put them on top of each other.
Mine is old coupe so if they are a not compatible then I have no real reason to buy.

Re: headlamp cover moulds
That's a thought, assuming the two bonnet types are the same shape/profile (just with different 'cut-out' headlight sections) surely you could make spyder covers from these molds and then cut/shape em down to fit the original type bonnet?

Re: headlamp cover moulds
That was my thought If slightly different 'bulge' would it matter? As long as the Spi cover is the same width?

I have looked at this before and yes you could cut them down but could you make a good enough job of it? How many could you break while trying? Bob.

Re: headlamp cover moulds
I imagine even with these bucks this'd be a job for a proper forming company, so if you went with these bucks and an outline/hole pattern of the OE covers they could form cut to shape and drill for you given they should have all proper tools n know-how?

Re: headlamp cover moulds
If as I think they are simply deeper or more pointy at the bottom then cutting down is easy with a band sander. Forming would be a Company which does this - need to be heated to floppy plus I think you need to stress reduce somehow.

Re: headlamp cover moulds
Hi all _ I need some help Pretty sure the moulds will be able to make both Libra and Spyder covers I am happy to buy Dave Berry lives in Burt St Edmunds. Unwilling to post them as damage to the surface would make them valueless. Is someone close who can pick them up I will send the money and ask that Dave is given cash
