The pattern cast into the flywheel is the same on both manual and Auto so I think the crank sensor should be fine.

Was wondering if this Astra F mount could be adapted....
The Rover gearbox mount is nearly £120, the Vauxhall item is only £35!

Depends on size and spacing of those bolt holes.

What mount is fitted in the GTM engine frame for the auto box on your car?

There's a 200 mount, the internal rubbery bit is the same as the 100 but you'd have to cut away/modify the metalwork to match what's needed for the Libra.

Yeah my car has the 100 mount like the manual cars too.
The steel bracket connecting to the gearbox is obviously very different though.

If you have that metro mount in the GTM engine frame already and are using a PG1 box, all you need is to fabricate the GTM part - why are you looking at a new rover gearbox mount?

Because the rubber has detached itself from the bottom metal strip.
I can probably save it because the rest looks decent.
It should be a reasonable part to buy and not cost £120 :(

Ah I see, that's unfortunate.

Yeah well, it's a part for a 20+ year old car and seems to be quite a rare part.

I always keep an eye out for them coming up for sale and keep looking about for alternatives cos I know eventually mine might go at some point too.

That is the whole fun of having/building a kitcar, finding out where the various parts came from or finding suitable replacements when things become unavailable!
20 years ago Rover stuff was in abundance, now it's getting rarer and there is no OEM supply chain to fall back on.
Inginuity always wins through in the end......

There seem to be plenty of the 214 mount in used condition from Lithuania......they charge £25 including postage.
In the UK there is a new one on eBay for £50 and Rimmer Bros charge £150!
I'll try and repair what I have first but it's nice to know there is a cheap if risky plan B :o

Does anyone know if this is from the GTM factory?
It seems to be a different type face so I'm not convinced.
It was stuck to the infill on my rocker cover to conceal the Rover script.

Re the gearbox mount delaminating, this is a very common thing. One thing you could try is a DIY repair using liquid polyurethane. Quite a few people on the Metro forums have done this. It is harder on ours because it only uses the inside part of the mount and the metal outer from the metro mount is discarded and is replaced by the engine frame fabrication. As such I discovered the only way to fill it was to shutter it up and pour it in-situ. As such it is hard to get all the way to the top but you can get three quarters of the way up. I did it with the gearbox mount still attached and scribed a bit of thin plywood around the shape and wedged it tight. I spaced another flat bit of ply off with some semi rigid foam packaging material as the seal on the outside and the 8mm gap left at the top was used to pour in the liquid rubber compound.
This is the stuff and where I bought it:
https://www.mbfg.co.uk/pt-flex-70-rubber.html
Here is how it ended up on mine. I foolishly didn't use a release film on the ply so had to cut off so it looks a bit rough but has worked a treat.

GTM never produced any lettering badges.

I used a Calibra badge cut down on the back of mine.

The red M looks a bit like one off BMW's M series cars.
