I knocked out the actuator shaft because it was very stiff.
After a clean with some wire wool and some fresh grease it moves very easily but has no play which is good news!

You can get replacement clutch arms that have a grease channel and nipple so they can be greased without having to take GB off.

I have one on the shelf unused thus far though, as you have to take GB off to fit the arm.

Did you use a sealant on the mating faces?

So a small update!
Because my car was Automatic it had a center console, this made using the MGF gearchange unit somewhat easier.
It means l have a bit more space to play with.
I cut the weight off because that would hit the sides of the tunnel, springs now give some self centering.
The hole in the tunnel is rather large but it was already there.

Interesting on the buggy I never found the self centring an issue the cakes kept the stick in the right place. But I like the idea.

I haven't got the short cable attached yet, I have the wrong combination of parts and it's about 70mm too short.
Have ordered an MG TF bell crank and an MGF short cable.
At the moment I have the opposite combination
I also ordered an MG TF cable holding bracket UKU000020.

I can highly recommend https://www.mikesatur.co.uk/Bell-crank-MGF if you're having to replace the bellcrank

Well although I am not yet tearing around in my manual GTM the car is running and quite happy, so the ECU doesn't care which gearbox is attached and the 1.8 MGF flywheel I used is compatible with the car, happy days.
Just some finishing off to do with the gearchange and tidy the seats and I am good to go!
