Re: Throttle cable - Spyder
You can use a MGF one but as ever a small bit of fettling is required. The outer is about right but the inner is around 15mm too long. It just about works on the limit of the adjustment at the throttle body end but leaves no further room for adjustment. My simple solution to that was to cut the plastic away from an electrical connector strip (you know, the ones with two screws, 20A version IIRC). I cut a longitudinal slit in the brass with a 1mm angry grinder disc and passed the cable through the slit at the pedal end (with the outer in place so lying down in the footwell) I then crimped the slot closed with pliers. This acts as a sleeve so the tension still goes back to the original nipple. I'd intended it to be a temporary solution but has been like that for over two years now without problems.
