Post Re: 1981 'a' Coupe bodywork for sale
Hi
I would like to thank everyone for their comments and advice.
I have had some contact from club members regarding selling just parts which I am reluctant to do as I want to sell all of it together.
I had some interest to take it all but no sale.
I will shortly put it all on ebay.

Thanks again,
Roger.

I've modified my last post as i hadn't used my eyes properly...

Just for the sake of it, how much are you looking for now, for all of your remaining Coupe parts as pictured? A figure might just sway someone... :)

Sad anorak time -- the original recommendation for a 13" spare was to use an A30 wheel which is 3 1/2" or 4" wide with a 145 tyre -- 'bout as rare as rocking horse sh*t -- probably best not to bother and carry some inflator stuff if you're worried.

Steve & Pete
Thanks for you replies.

The A30 suggestion is not bad. I know someone with a trailer made years ago from A30 axles and he has spare wheels.
Will try to get hold of one. Thanks.

I still have not decided which size wheels to use. I have a set of 10" woferace with 175/65R10 as well as the 12" 155SR12 ones in the picture. If I get on ok with the 7" discs would there be any advantage using the smaller wheels for road use. Anyone?

The bodyparts: I thought I would put a reserve of £150 on ebay. How does that sound?

Regards
Roger

To be honest, the 7" discs done by BMC were an absolute waste of time the old drums were much much better, now if they are 7.5" discs then thats another story and are a very good brake, I had them on my race mini and never ever had a problem stopping (with the right pad). The choices of wheel size is up to you, if your coupe is the 13" body it won't look very good with the 10" wheel, 12" again are small and you will be limited to tyre choice also, then again the 13" tyres are also hard to get. Again its up to you but I would stick with a 13" wheel on the Coupe.

Andy
Thank you for your advice.
They are definitely 7inch discs. I will stick with the 12" wheels and fit the bigger discs.
