Post Steering wheel/column height adjustment
Hi,
my steering wheel sits too low and obscures the top of my dials, is there much room for height adjustment to move it up an inch? Or is the steering wheel and column fixed in a set position? Thanks, Simon.

Hi Simon,
I'm not sure but i think the steering column is more or less fixed in one position.
But I had a similar problem when i bought my car. The steering wheel obscured the dials - particually the speedo.
I got around it by fitting a different shaped wheel.
See this thread where i posted some pics.

May be a cheaper & easier option - although i realise that you've only recently bought a new wheel :!:

I do have a new steering wheel, but I have been looking at replacement seats and they would place me lower in the car. Looking at your build pics and the ones from my previous Libra, the ignition cover does sit very flush under the dash. Whereas, the one in my car has a gap, hence why I think it might be possible to move it up an inch.

I seem to remember that you need a minimum of 4 thick washers [GTM later supplied a spacer] to space the steering column from the bulkhead so the angle of the steering column misses the pedal box. If you have more than this you should be able to adjust it.

Thanks,
I'll have a look and see what spacers I have.
