Very unusual...!
I drove the coupe to work today and have just been out for a spin in my lunch break. I was just about to turn back into the car park at work when what should come driving the other way, but a red Libra. I gestured to the driver but he didn't appear to notice me and my bright yellow coupe. Anyway what are the chances of that happening...? This was in Hook, Hampshire by the way.

Re: Very unusual...!
There's a Libra that stays about 5 miles from me.
I see it from time to time on my commute

Not so unusual after all then...! That was the first GTM I've seen on the road for years though. A rare sight down here....

Re: Very unusual...!
I've seen Libras on the road, whilst driving the Cox. When I give a friendly gentlemanly gesture, I get no acknowledgement either So don't think its just you, its not the way of all Libra owners. NOT AIMED AT ANYONE IN PARTICULARMaybe if more members got involved in OUR CLUB then maybe we would have more cross model interaction.

Re: Very unusual...!
Interesting... It reminds me I did get chatting to a Libra owner last summer. After showing considerable and genuine interest in his car I opened up and said I too own a GTM, a coupe! Expecting him to grill me about it, he just said ok and carried on waxing about his Libra. That did surprise me a bit come to think of it. Libra owners probably aren't so into older cars of any genre, so maybe it's not a big deal- the heritage and history of the marque. I still think if I had say an elise, and I got chatting to an Elan owner we'd both feel some empathy and respect....!?!?

Re: Very unusual...!
Cool When the new garage is finished and when its back on the road I look forward to it . I do get recognition from some Mini owners though which Libra is yours I've seen two different red libra (in Bletchley) and one yellow (near Shenley) in the past year locally. I know of four Coupes three red one blue in MK, and there is a Rossa less than a mile from me but I've never seen it. I don't know of any Spyder nearby though Your obviously a sesible person (from the same TOWN quite right too)

Re: Very unusual...!
I have Gareth Woolridge's red Libra which I picked up at the end of Jan. So another red one in MK. Its not been out much yet as I have a few technical issues to sort out. There is supposedly a spyder in MK but I've not seen it yet. Where about in MK are you?

Re: Very unusual...!
Dont worry its definitely not all Libra drivers, I have wanted a GTM since the late 80s so i'm on the look out for them everywhere. (just dont be surprised if you see a red Hyundai flashing at you its probably me forgetting that i'm not in my Libra.) Also Wifey got spotted in MK last year in my Libra but i bet she never even noticed the car going the other way. I wonder how many factory built car owners know the history of the Grand Touring Mini? Especially as there isnt a single piece of a mini in a Libra or Spyder. I'm sure Westfield didnt promote the history. Cheers Chris

Cheers Chris I'm not sure they promoted the marque, even when trying to sell cars - let alone the history
