 New Here !
Hi , im about to return a GTM coupe to the road with 31 miles on the clock , started in 1982 , finished in 97 , stored on blocks until i bought it having only its first mot milage on it , the body need a good paint tho , but the steel work is very good , it now shows 33 miles as i drove it round a car park a few times lol. I have taken out the 998 and put a more sensible metro gta 1275 unleaded in ,and to fit this week, super fins, vented front brakes and hi-lo's and 13" rims instead of 10. The exhaust is made by me and incorporates a carbon end can , nice ! A few fiddly things to do but hope to have it moted by next week , should be fun getting in and out as im 6'2". I have two other GTM coupes one is redgistered 1963 (from donor, tax exempt) that im restoring and modifying and the other an old green racer , bought many years ago , but cant trace the history , shame coz it looks the nuts, it came with i think a 1300gt eleven stud engine with a turbo on ,(not mg turbo) had coil over front suspension , and seemed more hand built in the chassis than my other two , interestingly the roof to sill height is also lower and the rear end tilts and removes same as the front, painted lime green and 13 " alloys , but no plates , any ideas? Cheers simon

 Re: New Here !
Hi Neil , thank you , will post some pics when i work out how , it would be great if some one could recognise the green racer, iVe had it years and not had any luck but it is distinctive and the lift up/off rear is a great conversion allowing easy access to the motor etc (similar to gt40 etc), the wiring is taken care of with trailer sockets back and front will do my best to get some pics on here , although rough i think it would give people some ideas ! Again thanks and
