Rather than go off topic on the"Anyone know this car" thread What have people come up with for rear cold air feeds ? And are they needed ? I'm planning on installing a pickup and monitoring the temp next to the air filters, then seeing if it's worth feeding colder air into the "boot" area. Is one solution, the Metro vents Is another, and I have plans somewhere for an underfloor ground effect setup. But I think it just cools the engine/alternator |

Think they came off this forum (Maybe the old one) From what I can see, it fixed to the trailing edge of the seat dropped tray, then is shaped in a curve up to the floor, a second curve pushes the air vertical to cool the alternator and block. I guess it might send spray up to the distributor if you are still running one. Maybe Adrian Newey could make it flex a little towards the ground at speed. |

Hi This is my Coupe Q231JCP featuring the underfloor scoop. This modification cured my engine bay overheating and I do not get fuel vapourisation or any other inconvenience of that nature anymore. One or two articles have been written for the forum or the newsletter about this modification most of which is featured in the last post by Ken555 and he seems to have described the layout and function of the mod. quite well. (Well I can understand it anyway). Any further queries, please ask and I will do my best to help.

In the boot of my Coupe when I got it were a set of bonnet vents from a MkII Astra GTE that I keep looking at and wondering whether I should fit. Iain |
