Post Tyre Advice
Hi chaps, I have some 13 x 6 wheels on order for the front of my coupe, already have this size on the back, and wondered what tyres people are using? I have some old wheels with 165/60/13 Goodyears on- can you still get this size and is it advisable? I used to have 175/50/13 Yokos on the back but found they didn't fill the arches very well, but I did have good handling. I then changed to 175/60/13 Falken which look better but are almost a bit too big looking, and the handling is not as good. I think I only had the choice between Falken and Kumho in this size at my local tyre place when I got them. Are all 175/60/13 tyres the same size? I know that in theory they should be but upon studying pictures of other coupes it seems some tyres look more balloony than others.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ed

Maybe not relevant but I find on my track car with 6" rims all round the back breaks away far too quickly.
I now have 6" rims on the front and 7" on the back. I am actually using at the moment road legal tyres, a set of Avon ACB10s, they are terrific but I do not suppose they would last long on the road.
