Post weight distribution
Hi all,

I like to be informed about the static weight distribution in kilograms(rear/front).It concerns GTM-coupe Honda b16b.
I used a metro front frame for the honda conversion.
If you have information about this subject, let me know.

Greetings,Wim(holland)

Without weighing your car it is unlikely that anyone will be able to give you any meaningful answer. Even if someone else has used the same engine as you with the same subframe (which is by no means likely) there will be all sorts of other little details that are different and on such a light car these things will make a big difference.

BMW for example made a big thing of moving the battery from front to rear for different models of 5-series "to maintain the proper balance". Rubbish - the weight of a battery in a 5-series is nothing compared to the overall mass. They did it bacause it wouldn't fit easily if a different engine or other piece of equipment was fitted. On a Coupe though the battery is a good few percent of the car's total weight so fitting it on one side or another and at the front or rear could make a real difference.
