 Coupe tyres
Tyres for coupe. When I built my coupe kit back in 1989/1990 I endevoured to build it as close to the demonstrator car at GTM as possible. Paddy and Peter's demo car was fitted with 165 x 60 x 13 tyres and eventually, when ready for the road, so was mine. I've used Goodyear NCT Eagles all the time for 22 years now and the car is now ready for two replacements. Not only are Goodyear not available in that size but I can't find anyone online who can sell me any of the above size of any make. Can anyone advise anything I have not already tried? I guess I'll have to go to 175 x 60 x 13's Malcolm Jones

 Re: Coupe tyres
Hi Malcolm
My local garage confirms that those tyres are not available, they gave me a number for Vintage Tyres 01590 612261, try them, but it looks like you'll have to go 175's.
Bob.

 Re: Coupe tyres
another option is 165/55 13 these are available but would be smaller diameter and harder ride 175/60 13 would be bigger diameter but i havn't worked out which is closest to your orignal size both would have a small affect on gearing and speedo

 Re: Coupe tyres
We're probably all going to face this soon as 165 13" tyres look to be an endangered species -- try mytyres.com where there are 175/50 R13V tyres from Dunlop and Yokohama advertised -- probably around the right rolling radius but a little firm on the suspension --also might rub a little on the arches -- places like Huddersfield Mini Spares and Midland Wheels carry mini friendly tyres and sometimes do deals on full sets of 4 -- check out any Mini mag in Smiths lending library.

 Re: Coupe tyres
If you look here http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.htmlthere is a tyre size calculator which enables you to compare the rolling radius of different tyre sizes and gives a % difference too.
