Post Help required with rear steering locking arms?
Hi all,

i haven't been on these forums for a very long time but recently i have been looking at little jobs on the gtm coupe,

I have found an issue with one of the steering arms that lock the rear wheels. the thread has gone,

I have included a picture of the good one below from the offside, i am hoping this picture size is within the forum guidelines otherwise i will try and get the picture size smaller,

I was wondering if anyone know if there was anywhere i could purchase these threaded bars from or if anyone i offering an alternative solution to locking the steering on the rear wheels?

Any replies would be very helpful,

I will try and create a project soon in the forum,

Gary

The Rossabits steering lock does have the advantage of using the upper suspension arm pivot as the mounting point for the inner spherical joint, removing bump steer as the suspension goes up and down, there is a company in Scotland who sell threaded adjusters, but I'm wracking my brain to remember a name, or if you have a local friendly workshop that could produce for you, If you look Kano Coupe thread you will see my efforts at rear wheel locking, very similar to Rosabits.

Get some hex bar and turn it down and cut a thread on (or get a friendly person with a lathe to do so for you). I'm guessing one way will be right hand and the other way left hand thread so you can adjust it with a spanner on the hex section.

That will be McGill motorsport

http://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/rod-ends-bearings/

I can vouch for the Rossabitz setup as I'm running that on the rear of my coupe.

Hi
I can supply all the parts for the GTM set up as well as a kit
for using spherical rod ends from McGill.
Unfortunately rossabitz@btconnect.com is not functioning at
the moment but I can be reached on abrit45@outlook.com
Cheers

Hi Alan

Not sure whether you're getting my messages or not, as my previous message outlining what I need seems to be stuck in the 'Outbox'.

Hi Andy
I think (and hope) rossabitz@btconnect.com is working now.
Let me know how you get on with the rear locking kit.
Alan
