i think it will be very tight for Stoneleigh, still needs painting and the guys I want to use are very busy but do a cracking job, I also need to sort out what I'm doing with the door windows. I was thinking I might trailer it to Blyton Park, which is closer to me, the day before.

I'm not looking forward to fitting the rear or the front screen.

I did a front screen in my Cox in 1980-81, replacement bought from GTM at Sutton Bonington was slightly less deep and I had to bond in a glass fiber filler strip along the lower edge of the screen aperture to make it fit, after my resent struggle I still don't know if the screen rubber was too big for my rear screen, but it was the smallest size and bend radius in the catalogue when I bought it.

This is looking amazing! Hopefully will be able to catch you at Blyton to see this in the flesh, I'll be there at least on a trailer but hopefully driving.

It has been ages since I updated this thread so here we go. This is my dads handywork repairing some damaged areas on the seats. Some new vinyl and coloured vinyl repair/filler...

I bit of a c0ck up meant I had to have a new screen made as the original one was too small, don't ask, so after ringing around a few companies I found a sign maker in Leeds with a large oven who could make a form and shape the screen, the pattern is a work of art and over engineering at its best...

...fitting the rear screen was a nightmare and tuck 10 hours and lots and lots of tea.

I haven't been taking many photos since fitting the screen but this is how it looks now. Last week a tuck it for a short spin about a mile or two up the main road and unfortunately it overheated, or at least the temp gauge shot up and after parking it up there was a bubbling/gurgling noise coming from the engine block, but it hadn't expelled any fluid from the expansion tank so I need to investigate further.

There are still some bits of trim to sort inside but other than that its 99.9% finished.

What do you reckon to the door circle, yes a nope?

Looks lovely, if competing the doors circles don't need to be that big, my old Cox had circles just on the door, if competing you probably don't need door circles as a black number on the door would be seen easily.

I just noticed your exhaust on the R-H side looks to be the lowest bit hanging down underneath, expect to be grounding and changing it soon??
I used to scrape the gear change where it passes under the gearbox on my old Cox.

The exhaust is a bit of a work in progress. The manifold and collector box where from Maniflow and for a later GTM but it sat way too low, I've had to do quite a bit of chopping/welding to get it to where it is. Now the car is running I can take it to a place in Leeds which do custom exhausts and will hopefully do a better job than me.

The door circles are for show really, although it would be nice to have a go at a hillclimb in some sort of road going class, we will see.

They show up on my phone and iPad but not my work machine. Very odd.

I can see them if I right click and open in a new tab but just see a place holder in the post that doesn't act as a link.

It's lovely Andy, very nice job. Can I ask where you got your stripes and stick on number plates from?
