Hi there - not getting anywhere at the moment - All my V5 states is Vin GBADY755 First registered in Feb 1986 - so at least a 1985 build Looking at a Nov1985 build - that was 219 Does anyone have or know someone who could pinpoint the chassis number ? regards Steve |

The VIN is your chassis number, there was nothing stopping you making your own number up back in the day. On the 80s cars the numbers were on the aluminium stamped plate and I have seen a couple which were personalised with the builders initials added to the normal number. Neil |

Have you tried getting in contact with the original builder he may have a story behind the number choice Neil |

Yes, I have tried - got through to one owner, but the original builder didn't reply. Will try again though. regards Steve |
