I just saw your question so maybe you've already got the information you need. I still have a coupe bought in 1970 with the original yellow. It was painted in a production Ford colour. I've looked but can't find anything more specific than yellow, probably didn't have a RAL number. |

Yellow Fords in the early 1970's were "Daytona Yellow". By late 1970's they became "Signal Yellow" AFAIK. |

Interesting. I am also thinking yellow for my coupe I was thinking orange ( my 10 year old daughter's choice ) and having seen one finished in orange and black was almost converted. However could not really find an orange I liked ( my excuses and I m sticking to it ), so now it's going to be yellow. But which yellow? Always fancied a yellow Triumph Spitfire or GT6 so will most likely go for a Triumph or B.L. colour so that should limit my choice . |

Mazda performance yellow is nice, But for an orange that really stands out from the crowd, and slaps you in the face, check out Fluoro red, |

I was toying with Porsche signal yellow for a while, which is actually more orange than yellow. It's also a period colour. Simon |
