Help please. For IVA I need design axle weights for 1969 Cox GTM. Original specification detail does not include this information, only gross weight.

Welcome Paul, 8)

As the axles are still In the same place as they are in the mini subframe, are they not the same as they would be for the mini :?:

My Cox last weigh in was 620kg it’s lost abit since then, but still over 600kg’s.

I don’t have a Cox brochure in front of me but from memory it states something like 10,hundred weight which is equating out at 509kg  seems ambitious ?

But still this equates to a weight comparable to a 60’s mini.

Thanks for your reply, Agree that the gross weight in the original brochure looks a tad light at 10.5 cwt, will be putting on weigh bridge to check actual weights.

Hi there,

When my old car was road going I took it over the weighbridge at work and it weighed exactly 660 Kg.
I also did some messing around with bathroom scales to try and get some corner weights to enable me to calculate the spring rate required for the rear coil overs that I fitted.
Unfortunately the notes went when I sold the car, but from memory the front to rear split was about 60:40.
What else have you done for the I.V.A?

Regards

Going from memory my fully laden Coupe with me
in it weighed 800kg. 340kg front & 460kg rear.
I was on a service call to a company and there was
a weigh bridge next door.
