Was having some tyres fitted by my local tyre man in Coventry and had the tracking done at the same time. It was some fancy 4 wheel laser system, so asked about bring my coupe down to see what settings it is on. Was asked which kit car I had, Gtm. Oh they make those over the way, was the reply. Are you sure, not Nottingham area. No, RDM, in the industrial estate behind the pub. Ah, yes someone did own them before Westfield. Yes, they brought one in for me to find parts to make up the exhaust for them. He said it was Vauxhall based? Very interesting and unexpected. John |

As I recall RDM never had any involvement with the Coupe -- or any of the Rossa models -- these projects had already been moved on by the time they bought the company. They certainly continued building the Libra at the old factory for a time before selling out to Westfield -- I believe the RDM owner took a seat on the Westfield board. I think that RDM still exits making some form of autonomous buggy for transporting folks around airports etc. in a factory somewhere near Coventry. Rgds Steve |
