Found this handy little spark plug decoder ring :lol:

usefull if your into swapping plugs around to suit a certain application

Just had a quick look under mini for the coupe guys, it lists one heat grade of plug I looked at ngk, they will sell me any type as long as its a "6" heat level, and for that matter all austin cars mini spares recommend a BP5ES as standard for 998/1275 and a 6 for hotter.
or am I missing something?

Here is the NGK Catalogue site this has got the info on the makes and models of cars that our GTMs have stolen the engines out of

Gives details about the car models covered and the plugs they recommend and the plug gap

Then if you want to change the make use a cross over converter as you now have the ngk part number, most companies can't be more helpfull when you want to do this
