Post K Series rebuild
Hi all,

I put together my new k series bottom end this morning in anticipation of the modified cylinder head being ready to collect soon. Nothing too unusual in that of course but I thought I'd put some pictures up as I'm using a brand new uprated spec stiffer block and you can really see the additional webs whilst the engine is bare.

Used new 160 pistons, liners, mahle motorsport bearings, oil pump, water pump.

Some good progress

Out of interest what is the wall thickness of the liners, just interested.

Neil

Hi Neil,

Just measured them and they're 4mm thick at the top. Probably about 2mm below the shoulder as these are damp liners.

Cheers, Jamie
