| Post subject: | Fitting dizzy. |
Hi, my new electronic dizzy has arrived so am on with fitting it. It has not had one fitted since it was built. I have set to tdc on number one with number 4 rockers level and loose. Should the rotor arm point to number one plug with the metal part or the plastic part. Basically, with number one cylinder at TDC AND with both valves closed on cylinder 1 the metal contact on the rotor arm should be pointing towards the distributor contact point for number one cylinder plug lead. This should allow you to start the car after which you can use a strobe to set the timing accurately. |
