I'm thinking about fitting a remote oil filter (A series) and have been trying to suss out a suitable place to mount it but there doesn't seem to be much room for that either! I'm thinking about putting it on the lhs inner rear panel opposite the alternator and water pump but due to the presence of the heater hoses and bottom hose it means that the filter would be a few inches higher than it is just now - does that matter? I presume that the feed from the block to the top of the filter head is pressurised so it would be ok but confirmation would be nice Another place I thought of putting it is on the front face of the rear 'luggage' compartment where it would be near the fuel pump but the hoses would then be fairly long - again, does it matter? Photos of anybody else's would be handy, too . Ta.
