I threatened to do this last year while we were talking about wind tunnels.

It's the first stage of a 1/4 scale Coupe. To give you an idea of scale it's about 31" long and 14" wide

Also in my garage are some scale wheels that i've had for years, a 24cc strimmer engine that needs a carb overhaul, and plenty of r/c gear.

I'll be making moulds if anyone wants one of their own?

More pics tomorrow hopefully.

Might be interesting in the small wind tunnel we have at work. :D

Reminds me of the Snow GTM I made a couple of Years back.

I have a CFD simplified model of a GTM somewhere, I wil lhave to try and get that software I have up and running again if i can remeber how to get it to work on windows.

That'd be cool.

Too right! I didn't think it was possible to spend £115 at Aldi in one hit - till they had a load of air tools in a couple of weeks ago.

Donor car. Erm, Truck:

And progress on bodyshell:

Can of beer for scale purposes - Honest.

I've started on the chassis too, but it's a bit of a bodge at the mo, so no pics.

That's brilliant...! I'd like a mould when they're finished...

Shouldn't be a problem :D

The way it's looking, the body is going to be a kit in itself. Parts will be Main body, front clam, engine cover, both doors, both sills, and rr bumper - so more bits than the original.

It's really making me realise how intricate the original shape is - if something is out by about 2mm it looks really wrong.

And I want to point out that the only reason it is RED is because that's the only colour I had in a rattle can that I have no other use for. It's not going to be red as the finished article.

All You've got to do now is develop the idea "turn the opposite way when it's coming towards You"
