took me about 2 hour to do the dash, i got a roll of material 5m 1.5m for £20. im doing the car in the old rover zircon blue. its a solid darkish blue green. will be having full length stripes but not decided on colour or style yet.

Re: quick update while i have ten mins.
decided to add a subtle pearl to the paint. coloured the rear vanence. looks sexy in the sun shine just need to see how it turns out once the whole car is done and ive cut back and polished. pictures taken on phone again so not very good quality.

Re: quick update while i have ten mins.
I really like that colour It's nice to see something different and it should suit the car too. What did you cover the dash with? It looks great! I thought of doing the same with mine but chickened out because I didn't think it would be possible to form the vinyl I bought round the curves without getting wrinkles etc. The vinyl is proper car upholstery stuff but doesn't feel stretchy enough and I can run out of patience so holes were a possibility (as was a smashed dash...... )

Re: quick update while i have ten mins.
I've noticed a few topics that are wide, may be i need to adjust picture size before putting them on. The colour looks lots better in the sun than on the camera. I got a 5 x 1.5 mtr roll of vinyl from a shop on ebay and kept it in the house for a week. I sprayed a light coat of glue on half the dash and used a hair dryer on it. it took lots of putting on and pulling off, then did the other half, i didn't get wrinkels but a small bit of stretch which is actually quite good as it makes it look more like leather and slightly aged rather than looking like its silky smooth and plastic. the next pics i take will be with my proper camera when i colour the next part. hope yours is coming on well.
