Looking good  It must be a bit heavier than when you started  I was told at Race Retro that if you used part of the cage as the column support the column should now be below and not above it, could worth checking

I also removed the roof spoiler...that turned out, like the arches, to be made of solid filler, it weighed an absolute ton !!! Traction is pretty good, depends how much of an animal you are and how much power, think only myself and ken haywood run an LSD. but mine is a little different for obvious reasons. but generally you will find you have more traction than you do on the road as its a prepared surface especially if some of the drag cars have been down and laid a nice bit of rubber down. It must be tight in your coupe, glad mine has the seat pans dropped as im 6'2 never would fit with a flat floor. especially when i put my crash helmet on. WEST |

Yes, my son's quite large, also about 6'2", it looked very funny the first time he sat in it. His head was out of the sunroof, looked like he was sitting in a toy car! |

| I`m glad i`m only 5'9" ish! Dino- nope its not put me off, i`m visiting Phil (Pantera) off the forum this weekend to pick up my own bundle of pain and scrapped knuckles up. |

| Keep an eye out today (lunchtime ish) for a post on my own project- i took quite a few pictures before it was hidden away in the garage. Looks like i`m going to be busy for a while! and i may have to get friendly with a local welder, or learn a lot. |

Well a bit more progress. Fitting the pedals, so I could work out seat and wheel positions.  More prep work on the body, it's now about the right shape and I've lost the wing and arches.  The cage is complete and fitted, I've tried to follow the MSA guidlines as much as possible but I just didn't have room for 2 roof bars without lowering the floor which I don't want to do. There's going to be little enough ground clearence anyway.    I've decided to run the steering column through the front brace and also use it as the lower dash support.  And a milestone reached...I've made it onto page one of the build manual!  The body is now bonded onto the tub.
