Post Rossa project
Hello everyone

I've now got my first k3 rossa back home, and the hard work is about to begin.

Can anyone recommend a good cleaning product and sealent to remove the faded oxidisation and get it shiny again?

The first thing I want to do is sort out the wiring, which is a bit of a mess and I've printed out some wiring diagrams but not a 100% sure on them, so if anyone has any wiring diagrams for a rover metro they could sen, it would be much appreciated.

Aswell as this, the engine hasn't been started for quite some time, and so will need a but of maintenance before firing up. Anyone with experience of starting one of these engines for so long?

Best stuff i've used is Farecla. They do specialist products for the marine industry (which is mostly fibreglass).
There are gel-coat restorers & UV protection waxes, etc.
Have a look here:

Ok, I'll have to try some of that.

Cleaned it all out today, there is so many wires and plug around the steering heel, and I have no idea at all where most of them come from. A few have been chopped up and cut about so some serious work to be done there.

Does anyone know if I'd possibly be able to replace all of the wiring around the steering wheel with a new loom? As I think the wiring is probably for scrap. I only have a speedo/rev counter from the metro donor car, 2 stalks and literally no dash at all. Any help or ideas from people who have been in a similar situation or anyone at all would be greatly appreciated.

Will post some pictures of it later on to show exactly what I mean.

I would go with a new one you would have less problems with the wire's and it would be much less hassle then joining all the wire's
You can get them from eBay for 30 pond's
