won the coupe on ebay. Plans are to put my metro turbo engine in until the bodywork is complete on my metro then will hopefully be fitting my spare 993cc turbo engine from a charade GTti.

metro engine has a gt20 turbo, LSD, straight cut drops and gears etc

Got most of the electrics working now. Need to modify engine cover, subframe and spaceframe for the metro engine to fit

150 Hp and a clean run should see you in that area with a bit of practice low 14s should be achievable certainly.

We will find out in July

The Cox is done BUT....... I have to use someone else to trailer it there, drop it off then return in the evening to collect it.

The weather looks to have a window of about 1 to 2 hrs of running after scrutineering opens, so I'm thinking of waiting till Mitp as well. I'll still go tomorrow but on foot check out what everyone else is up to.

Well avon was wet yesterday.

Can't select reverse in the gtm. I think it may be where/how the reverse switch is fitted. It is on a metro linkage and the switch is mounted on the other side to original position in a hole which is factory made but it is not 180degrees round from original. The bottom plate has been swapped round so the gate is not the problem!

You did swap the gearstick locating pin and rotate the gearstick 180 degrees - didn't you?

Yes it was done before I had it. I checked it. Think the problem is I need to shorten part of the linkage, the gearstick does not rest in the center its too far back
