Hello everyone
Here are some pics of the tub and bits sitting in the container until I get my house/workshop sorted, as you can see it is very rusty!

Here is my first stab at a better rear wishbone, using Minispares compettion inner bushes and 1/2" Rod ends.
The little bosses line up with the 2 holes in the bottom of the mini hub carrier, these I will tap M8 and then drill the carrier for clearance. I was thinking I may do the steering arm locator as well just so it really is locked off!

You might want to weld a vertical plate across the back of the bottom mounting plate for the upright.

I did this to my standard GTM plates after they twisted.

I felt that this was the weakest area of the Coupe suspension. Lifting off at 80 ( on private roads of course) the back end was noticeably moving around.
Scarily, my Clio V6 has the same arrangement using the steering arm for toe-in control !!

I don't think the A frame arms are the weak point, it's the bracket onto the hub that flexes, which is why people using a steering locking arm system get a better rear end controle.

looking at your drawing, if you move the tie bar pick up from the underslung position, to the leading edge of the forward arm. You'll be able to loose some weight off the tie bar by shortening it

every little helps for a racecar 8)

I take your point Stuart, but to be honest I am skating on pretty thin ice regs wise with the rod ends so I can't see myself getting away with shortened tie bars as well, I will use the Group A type tie bars so I can adjust the toe in easily with that. I intend to build the rear end to be as easy to adjust as possible without it looking like a full on race car!
