As some may know I think that there is too much of a gap between the wheel arches and the tyres on the K3 (I haven't got it off the ramps as yet so can't measure the exact ground clearence to see if the suspension is pumped up too much).
I will need to get a couple of tyres in the near furure and noticed that the ones already fitted are toyo's 185 x 55 x 13's. Is this the standard size for the original metro Gti?
As I need to get a pair of tyres I was thinking I could possibly go bigger profile. I noticed I wouldn't be able to go wider at this time as I would need some wheel spacers as the rear tyres would rub on the inner arch as it is very close at the moment.
I do realise that a different ratio will put the speedo out but not by too much so isn't a worry. Not sure about the front tyres as I said earlier it is still on the ramps so not sure of clearences on lock etc.
Any thoughts? or personal experiences?
