Post Wanted .....Rover 100 Wiring Loom/Connectors to Fuse Box
Hi,
After a long break I went to sort my K3 out and had a bit of a disaster...

An electrical short caused the rover 100 fuse box to melt... lots of smoke

On inspection this was caused by a short, it took out the fuse box and the connectors that connect the loom to the fuse box.

I have a replacement fuse box relays and wiper/ headlight controllers etc.

What I could do with is a replacement internal loom, or just the connectors that connect the loom to the fuse box.

I know its a long shot but someone may have one kicking around having converted to MG electrics etc.

The one that has been destroyed is the wiper connections.

Can anyone help me ??? or is it time to start soldering spades on one my one....??

I will also need a large jar of "Lucas Smoke" to replace all the smoke that escaped fuse box.. :) if this doen't make sense google..."Lucas Smoke"

Hope someone can help :)
Thanks John

Are they the same as MGTF ones? If they are (and I think quite a bit of MGF/TF is based on Metro parts bin parts) I do have most of a TF wiring loom that I have no real plans for. I was going to say post a photo of the parts you need but I'm guessing a lump of melted plastic might not be the best thing to compare to!

I think I have a Metro loom, or at least the connectors. It is too dark to look now, but I will have a search in the morning.

Do not uncross your fingers yet!
I bought a part built K3 which included a big box of wire. I did not strip it out of the Metro, and it is not all labelled. I believe the donor was a Metro GTI. I have a complete loom for my car and I have plugged it into my (unfitted) fuse box. I also have another loom which has been chopped about, but includes all the connectors which go to the fuse box. The sockets on the fuse box are named on the face of the box, but the word 'wiper' is conspicuous by its absence.
Can you send me a picture of the charred remains of what you need, or a picture of where it plugs into the fuse box?

Hi , Still sounds more promising than the soldering spades option :)

I will try and get an image to you via private message as I don't have any way to put it up on the internet and post it here.

On the fuse box there are several connectors in a row..
main 6
spares
Main 2
Main 5
the one that I have destroyed is labelled "Main 2"

Fingers still crossed :)

Uncross your fingers and do not bother with a picture!
I have main 2. Give me your name and address and I will post it to you. How much length do you want left on the wires?
