Post K3 gearchange
Hi,
Great thanks to Catsam Paul I now have a gearchange system for a K series 1.4 and PG1 (i think) gearbox of Metro gti origin.
I'm looking to renew the plastic ball joints at the driver's end (2) and one at the gearbox end (seems to be like the front),
and two rods of different lengths.
Anyone know of a place to get some spares or even a name for these parts?
Thanks

It'll be an R65 box unless it's been modded to fit a PG1 I think.

"If the starter motor is in front of the engine, below the box its an R65, if its above the gearbox its a PG1"

This help with parts ID? https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID000723

Hi Sidewinder,
Thank you very much for that information. If Rimmer Bros has all the pieces I'm looking for that'll be great and if they don't I'll know what to ask for.
Sorry to be so late in replying to your comment. Being tidying my garage - french cleat. Better, but still not enough room. I may go subterannean

Does anybody know if i can I put an MGf gearbox in a K3 and what are the ramifications, aside from the gearchange cable?

Add in a hydraulic system including master cylinder, modified pedal/pedal box, interconnecting pipe work and MGF driveshafts too if I remember correctly.

On my K3, I changed the whole back end to MGF so, all I had to do was plumb in the hydraulics.
