Post subject:  GTM Spyder sale "hidden"on Ebay
I have been browsing this forum and the web for a GTM Spyder and hope to buy one when it comes inside my budget. I noticed a GTM Spyder for sale on Ebay, but it won't show if you put search words in. Just found it last night and ends today, so a bit short notice. Anyway here's the link to a tasty red Spyder (alas outside my budget):

It shouldn't have been "hidden" and I did get some activity on it, so not sure what's happening there.

The real plan is to sell it next year. I advertised it now, more to gauge the reaction on pricing.

It is unsold but I did get some interest.

I only found it when I googled "GTM Spyder for sale". It didn't show on the front end of Ebay, still not when I search on completed listings. Also I have browsed the kitcar section of ebay and it didn't show. Ebay is rarely a good place to sell these cars, but if you do, you should expect it to work properly.

I searched 'GTM' in the Cars, Motorcycles and Vehicles category on eBay the other day and it showed up for me

That worked for me too - I wonder how many of the views/watchers were current GTM owners checking out what their car might be worth :wink:

Gargoil - your ad got linked from kitnet.uk and had a few admiring comments - one guy with an Asbo exo car was very tempted as he keeps coveting mine and (don't tell him I said this) is getting a bit old for a roofless, bodyless, bike engined hooligan machine. The Spyder is much more civilised.

I had no problem finding the Spyder either - but then I came across the K3 that's currently on the bay - titled a GTM Rosa. It doesn't come up in my search results if I only search "GTM". Bit of a strange one.

If interested, be aware of the seller's feedback btw.

Bit of an update on this. I'm currently looking for an industrial walking foot sewing machine, and I'm having the same thing with eBay - listings not appearing when they should. I'm tending to get the buy it now tat first where the proper auction stuff gets banished to the lower listings. Not that I'm surprised nowadays.

That is how Fleecebay are doing it now, where there are classified ads they list them first & you have to trawl through to get to the auctions
