David EH!.....Of course its about your car ? Shame it's not a Cox, as I need to have a look at part of the tub to check some measurements for comparison Doesn't matter too much as I have one I'm looking at soon. Just out of interest, any idea what 1/4 mile times a Cobra replica runs? As I was wondering that WEST's already seen off an Ultima mabe you might like to chance your luck in a race with him at Avon Park later in the year He hasn't got much competition nowdays. Just a thought |

I was interested in Avon Park, although I doubt I would keep up with a car that could beat an Ultima. I will be at the Le Mans classic however that weekend. Regards David |

Just a thought I put a post on the 289 register website to enquire of a pal of mine who has run his car in 1/4 mile events and he says, "David, 13.36. 105 mph terminal speed." I guess this seems pretty slow to you guys. The Cobra involved had a (I think) a 5 litre Ford engine and was in full road going trim. My car has a 4 litre Rover engine developing 240 bhp and 250 ft lbs torque. It weighs 1050kg and is in full road trim - I don't think I will be very competitive at Avon Park. I was interested in bringing the Cox but as I have said before I will be at the Le Mans Classic that weekend in my Cobra. Regards David |

I'll be there this year too. Been there with shopping lists the past two years but now I can finally bring the Coupe! (Although I'll probably still manage to buy things this year too ) Won't be able to get there till sunday afternoon but I'll camp and stay for Monday. I need to join the club first though, I'll send off my form and moneys this week. |

Club area [our usual site 49A] and Marquee booked ages ago. The AGM is [as always] at 2pm on the Sunday. Only Fully Paid Up members [and spouse's] will be allowed into the AGM,[I will have an up to date up to the minute membership list with me]. Anyone camping, DO NOT pitch your tent next to the Marquee. As always there will be coffee/tea and some biscuits available. And there will be Regaila for you to buy. Bob S. Ken, where are you booked in for B & B? I normally book several rooms at a local pub, might be the same place? |

Sorry to bring this thread back to Stoneleigh, but I hope to be there on the Monday (Can't make Sunday - sorry). As this is my first time in the Rossa can someone say what "stand" we are on. I've got a map from last year when I was there in my Gilbern. Thanks |
