Hi,
Anyone going to any of the Transtar Shows?

http://www.transtar-promotions.co.uk/

I've not been so no idea if any good? if anyone has been would appreciate your views.
I'm considering Ragley Hall, Walsall, Shugborough & Dudley. You do need to book in advance and there is a small fee £3/£3.50.
Cheers
Juls

Juls,

I have been to the Walsall show a number of times over the years showing my BRA 289 (replica Cobra) it is a pleasant, simple sort of show with probably 100+ exhibiting cars. I have not been to Ragley or Dudley. I did go to Shugborough a couple of times a number of years ago.

The family running Transtar are very experienced in what they do and very reliable.

Hi Juls - sorry for delay in replying to this post.

We went to Walsall last year with Karen's Dad's MG 1958 ZB Magnette. It's well worth going to - as David says it's a pleasant, simple show and a good day out. We'll be there this year with the Magnette and the GTM.

About time we had another West Midlands get together. I've been snowed under recently and not had time to organise anything. Will email everyone over the next few days.

I learnt to drive and passed my test in my dad's MG Magnette ZB -- great old car but with very heavy steering compared with modern stuff -- how old do I feel right now?

You're right about the steering, Steve - you need muscles like Johnny Weissmuller to drive the bloody thing! Oooops - how old do I feel remembering him?!!
