Complete Kit Car magazine have announced that The Donington Kit Car Show will not be going ahead.

Instead they are organizing this one day event.

As Combe is only about 12 miles from me I'll find it hard to resist this one although there are already 3 other events that weekend that the Bristol Kit Car Club have been invited to attend including a show at the National Trust Tyntesfield House and the Bath Festival of Motoring. It fathers day on 21st so I guess all the event organisers are thinking its a good weekend for petrol heads!

Come and find the Bristol Kit Car Club stand and say hello. We are promoting a new charity project to build a track car adapted for use by people with disabilities based on a chassis that has been donated so have had our stand promoted to a prime location in the paddock. I've also booked a track slot at 15:15 so my Spyder will have its first outing on a track (since I bought it anyway).

I have the club kit car driver passes for FREE entry and parking on the club area for this event. Contact me if you intend on coming and need a pass. Any kit car passengers will need to buy an entry ticket (£12.00 on Castle Coombe website).

If you turn up on the day without a pass, entry is £15.00 per person [driver as well]. If any non-members wish to join us on the club area the passes are £10 [membership subscription].

Seriously thinking of doing a double header, this on Saturday and retro car show on Sunday at Santa pod do you have any info how much the tack passes are on the day I have found advance prices on the site only so far

I believe the "on the day" track passes are £35. There is a strict noise limit of 100dBA. I've booked the 15:15 track session, one of four (I think) kit car only track sessions through the day. I've a feeling that the on the day track sessions are the "public sessions". I think that the specialist sessions (i.e. kit car, classic or suchlike) have to be pre-booked but I don't know where I got that thought from...

Yep found the on the day price earlier on the complete kit car site, the castle comb site did not mention it.

So what is going a Libra, a Spyder and a Coupe

Good chance I will end out on track at some point as the latest suspension tweaks are feeling positive.

My Spyder will be there but I'll be in the BKCC area in the paddock area - come and say hello. I'll do likewise - where is the GTMOC area located?

If anyone is getting there early, is coming via the M4 J18/A46 and fancies joining a convoy the BKCC guys are meeting up at the Cross Hands pub car park - about 3 miles north of J18. There could be as many as forty kit cars from Westies to Cobras and all sorts of others. Meet time is currently set at 8am. See you Saturday.
