As far as I know you can camp over on Sunday night, and javelin track days are holding a track day on the Monday.

BUT, the Blyton park Gtm 50th and Mk1 performance mini event is only on the Saturday evening and the main event day the Sunday.
A few of us are doing the Stoneleigh national kit car event on the Monday, so the other way round to what your planning.

There are spaces for track day passes for the Monday but it's with your everyday track day crowd, if you want to do the Monday you'll have to book through Javelin track days.

That's my plan 8)

Except I may change slightly, depending on what the Mrs, wants to do on the Sunday evening.
I might be told to drive back home, then drive back north to Stoneleigh on the Monday.

Just under 8 weeks to go :!:

How are preparations going? I currently have engine/box rear suspension all out/off, and an engine in bits

I've just fitted a new battery, changed the charge light bulb and tightend up a few wires here and there, hope to roll it out of the garage and get in MOT'd in the next couple of weeks.
Trouble is the other thing keeps taking up my time.

Can't wait to see some more of that Stratos - is there a build diary somewhere?

Camping at Blyton, can anyone give me a clue on what they have there, I've never been there and don't know whether to try for a local pub or turn up Saturday and camp.
Cheers

I have just read on the Ginetta owners club forum that today Ginetta or parent LNT group have bought Blyton it appears the current MD Richard Uasher is staying on to manage the day to day activity

I've been trying to reply to your question since early this morning. But for some reason I couldn't post. :?: :?:

Sorry Paul, I've been every year and have camped there ever year. If you want a hook up power point you'll have to get there early, as those with caravans will get them all.

I've not needed to use them, I've either slept in the car or in a tent, and I even slept in a van one year, ( it was chuffing freezing!!) Blyton is an old WW2 Wellington bomber airfield, so if it's windy, it WILL be cold of a nighttime.

Blyton has on site toilets and wash area, and an on site restaurant which do a cracking breakfast, and will be doing an evening meal on Saturday, but you have to pre order that. Previously it's been a curry. If you want a meal at the track there will be an announcement on the MK1 performance conversions website very soon. When it's posted I'll ask here if there are any takers.

At the moment im not sure if I will end up eating out Saturday evening or at the track. If you like your light evening meal served under the majical Golden Arches, or something similar there is one in Gainsborough town. Where you will find a few pubs, a tescos and fuel station etc. The town is about 3 miles from the track.

I've just booked a local stop over, as the Mrs and lad are going to be with me, she has just had a operation and has said SHE ISN'T camping

If you go to the Blyton Park website there is a section in the menu for local hospitality, in there are listed local B+Bs hotels etc.

I'll be there Saturday afternoon 5:30pm.ish.

Yeah true, I saw this too. I'd imagine it cost a pretty penny, it's a big site.
A friend of mine works at Ginetta and he said that the MD has a few quid, apparently earned from his retirement homes business he owns.

Note to self,

must buy a retirement home. :D

Lawrence Tomlinson has certainly improved the public perception of Ginetta and as you say he made his money in retirement homes and a chemicals company I believe . A passionate car fan he has donated all the moulds for all the old Ginetta models to the club. Should be room to land the helicopter at Blyton
