DRIVE IT DAY
Who would be interested in an organised 100mile Drive/Tour around Buckinhamshire,Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire for charity?
Starting from a small garden centre in Woburn sands, you will sign on yourself and your navigator, collect your "ROUTEBOOK" and "RALLYPLATE" along with an allocated start time. Next mabe you'll have a spot of breakfast in the resturaunt before having a quick briefing of whats expected of you and your navigator.
The Tour will include A DRIVE AROUND THE MILLBROOK TEST TRACK (Alpine course), A PARADE LAP OF SILVERSTONE(PARKING/DISPLAY OF YOUR CAR AT THE CIRCUIT), A (YET OT BE CONFIRMED STOP AT THE PRODRIVE FACILTY/OR ASTON WORKS AT NEWPORT PAGNELL), A LUNCH STOP ENROUTE.Â
At some point of this event A Mr Coulthard will be involved (Startline Flag??). Whats the catch you ask? The only catch is £35 per car this includes all listed above except Breakfast and food at the Lunch stop. This event is held on the National "DRIVE-IT DAY" Sunday the 26th of April 2009 so there is plenty of time to get the car MOT'd. The event is intended to raise public awareness of interesting/classic cars, (yes all GTM marks are elegible and welcome).
The Club that holds this particular event also has a dedicated charity. It is intended that if you wish to come along it would be nice to support the clubs dedicated cause, Extracare trust (home for the elderly), including The Northampton Air Ambulance. Those who are interested please post your interest by in this thread. I have attended this event for the last two years and invited West this year who if I'm not mistaken also will sing the praises of it
Thanks in advance Stuart

Re: DRIVE IT DAY
I'd give it a go... if my Coupe even had a cat-in-hell's chance of being roadworthy... Think they'd accept an entry from either a knackered P reg diesel Astra or a V reg Rover 25? Both very interesting and classic I'm sure you'll agree!!

Re: DRIVE IT DAY
Is Robin Hood a euphemism for something? Ignore me, I've been on the Old Peculier at the local..

Re: DRIVE IT DAY
Peter 'b' I'm sure that won't be a problem It would be nice to see the k3, as I'm under the inpression that the organisers are expecting/hoping to see a brace of GTM's, to help promote/raise the profile of event to other car clubs

Re: DRIVE IT DAY
I'm sticking my hand all the way up, but won't be in mine. We will be in my mates Irish Clan.
Sounds like it should be a good day.
