Post Windscreen Aerial
I'm thinking about getting one of these windscreen mounting aerials and tucking it away out of sight - I believe that it works below the bonnet but how about under the dash? The ones on ebay are mostly suspiciously cheap (£4ish!) but are they any good? My alternative is a Blaupunkt tax disc type but it's a wee bit expensive at £35 for all the use it will get.

I used a windscreen aerial but mounted it, as directed, on the windscreen.

They are OK but make sure you get one that has a built in aerial amplifier.

Mine's under the front clam.
Ok, not that I use it much.

The K3 has one of the Halfrauds ones that go by the A pillar, works fairly well

My K3 has a piece of welding wire inside the top screen surround with the central wire of the coaxial cable soldered to it and the outer sheithing attached to an earth wire, god knows how it works but work it does and very well too, plus it is totally out of sight and at the highest point on the car.

More than one way to skin a cat, then??? Have to say that I really like the lyndiloo solution - a man after my own heart  The reason I wanted to put the aeriel below the dash rather than in the front tub is that it's one less thing to bother about if I want to remove tub at a later date. Suck it and see, I think :)
