Anyone know what the Libra headlights/driving lights are from? I know there 5 3/4 inch but can find nothing that mounts like the ones I have. |

The original heads (082373) and spots (082369) are cibie 5 3/4" with the three mounting lugs. Put cibie and those numbers in google to find em. I never liked em and thought they were poor, plus the fact they use old technology and replaced em with these: Ebay item number: 170829424770 Crystal Halogen headlights kit lamp 5 3/4". They are a direct replacement and use the same mounts and have clear lenses with the light pattern on the reflector like modern cars rather than on the lens like the Cibies. I also replaced the spots with these style: Item number: 170818877245 6” CAR SPOTLIGHT LAMPS 12V SPOT LIGHT ANGEL EYE CHROME. I liked the angel helo effect and they were cheap. TBH the halo is a bit poor and not as good as on BMWs say but they make decent spots and are cheap. Ignore the fact they seem to be too big and come in a massive chrome housing, all that can be removed and tossed they will then fit in the original spot's mounts. SAS |

Thanks for the information. It's the mounting system I'm having trouble with, cannot find anything like it anywhere or information on it other than it was supposed to be special to the Libra. Does look like its OEM style from something but what? BV |

Unfortunatly Rossabits only has the morrette rings for 7" headlamps and Libra are 5 3/4. However Morrette.co.uk have some - the ones for the MK6 Escort conversion look like the ones. |

yep, tried S-V-C they only supply cibie's with a full headlamp shell, they can't or won't do morrette's most other cibie suppliers insist the morette rings are no longer available but I think this is because Valeo want them to take 20 pairs as a minimum order and Valeo won't deal direct to the general public (me). Still waiting to hear back from Morrette.co.uk on availability. |
