Post Central Locking Wiring
I've decided to tackle the central locking on the Libra and bought a generic sensor unit for the drivers door from Amazon. It has 5 wires -- black, brown, white, green and blue -- the Metro door loom has 4 being black, purple, orange and pink. Anyone any idea which wire goes where? I'd take a guess on black to black as earth. I've got a multimeter if that's necessary to check stuff out.

Post Re: Central Locking Wiring
Had my passenger door apart a couple of days ago. Not sure where the central door locking solenoid came from originally, but did notice that they had 5 wires coming out of them, but only 2 were used. 3 were cut off & not used.
Sorry i can't be of more help...

Had the panel off the drivers side door this morning. It had a different solenoid fitted to the other side - looked more like a Rover one, from what i remember ( used to have a Maestro some years ago & the C/L solenoids failed regularly on it).
Anyway it only had 2 wires coming out of it - pink & orange. They connented to 2 wires on the loom -again pink & orange.
Hope this might help you.

The five wires on mine are black, brown, purple, red and blue.
They are conected black to black [earth].
Red to orange, blue to pink which goes to the passenger door.
Brown to brown/green, which has been added and goes to the alarm via a relay.
Purple to purple.

Purple is +
Black is -

Hope it helps :?:

I think that the two wires that are connected on Svens are wired direct to the 5AS and ground and just give the open and close on the fob activation.

The other 3 are allegedly for feedback of the plunger position - I would hazard a guess to be used when using a key to operated the drivers door and subsequently operate the central locking?
