Get rid if it's the rover items, I used after market sovs from Maplins much more power and nicely constructed they are a 5 wire unit also.

Can you work out what the 4 wires on your system are?

I'm guessing that there are two for the coil and the other two would be a switch for feedback. You may be able to use a 5 wire solenoid into your set up.

I think there is a orange wire and a pink wire from the metro loom one is 12v live when the button is pressed to open on your fob via the 5AS and one is 12v live when pressed to lock. There is 4 solonoids in the Maplins kit two of which have two wires but they can all be adapted to what you have, all you need is a 12v tester, its not as hard as you think.

After a bit of investigation I have found that I have a solenoid with two wires that is triggered by the alarm keyfob and the four wire master unit is then triggered to open the other solenoids so in theory can I just connect the drivers and passangers solenois to the keyfob feed.
Just do not know how this supply get there ie relay, fuse etc and do not want to overload it.

Sorted this out by removing the faulty master 4 wire unit and replacing it with two change over relays.
