Could someone confirm the part number or donor model for the Libra alternator. Understand its metro probs 1.4GTi???? Mine has packed up/siezed so the belt snapped I had ordered one and was assured by supplier it would fit! It didn't have the euro pin and bolt on as he had said it had Cheers - Phil |

I think it depends on which engine/engine loom you have. The alternators on all k series engines are physically similar so pulley size and mounting brackets should be interchangeable. I can't comment on Metro wiring but over the time I've had mine I've had both Mems2 and Mems3 MGF/TF based engine looms and the connections to the alternator are different on each. If you are on Mems 2 then an alternator for any Mems2 MGF should fit and similarly if you have Mems3 then go for a TF one and you should be good. The wire back to the battery connects to the engine loom at the starter motor and I think the alternator main wire connects there too but the exciter wire is different between the two Mems versions. |

Back in 2011 I bought one off ebay titled "ROVER 25 45 MGZR MGTF MGZS ALTERNATOR" I am on MEMS3. YLE101530 is early MGF & YLE102431 is late MGF/TF - no aircon type. |
