If it is the early front end with the four seperate indicators and sidelights that areround and 74mm in diameter then they are from old land rovers and defenders, bolt on bits also do led units at £15 each if you wanted to go down this route.

And welcome to gtm ownership.

You can get clear orange or orange orange versions.

Search WIPAC 73mm on ebay

I used a variable flasher relay.

Pete,

If you go for LED conversion the flasher module would need changing too. The flashing rate is determined by the current drawn by the lamps.

The indicators are also used on the later original minis, so they should be easy to get from somewhere like mini spares.

Thanks all

Really good to join a helpful group

My plans are to get the original car working well then fit the engine and box from Mondeo st220
I have the donor - low miles and drives well
Next step for the transplant will be to offer up the engine / gearbox and make sure it will fit
V6 - just for the noise??

Hi Pete,

Not sure how big the ford V6 is compared to the KV6 :?

But the K6 tub and boot are different on the V6 Libra.

Cheers.

Hi

I have the pictures of the change to the v6 tub.
GRP is my thing so I will be able to alter the tub and retain the strength
Duratec is narrower v angle so could need less inset

You can get the standard landrover lights if you do not want to go led they are super cheap but do not have any reflective housing behind the bulb, think this is why people have changed them to led to get a better light output.

Ordered LED front lights and relay from Bolt on Bits
Much better than squiggling bulbs to get them to work for 10 minutes

LED units are more weatherproof than the normal bulb type too.
